Daily check in: a written practice of turning my negatives into positives...✨✨✨ • I found out today I’m gluten/soy/peanut intolerant so that really sucks —> I found out one factor to why my body has been giving me so many signs that it isn’t happy and now I have the opportunity to give my body a break and give it some extra love. That’s EXCITING! • I’m mad at the health care system that it has taken 6 doctors & lots of money and time for me to get som answers about my health —> I’m privileged to have health insurance in the first place so I’m grateful to be able to find these answers out for myself. • I feel restless, aimless, lost and confused when it comes to my professional and educational goals —> I’m blessed to have the support system I have to take this time to figure out what I want to do and to not be forced due to circumstances to settle for something that’s not right for me. ••life hasn’t been the biggest field of daisies lately but a friend reminded me the other day how therapeutic writing is to my mental & emotional health so even on days when I can barely leave the couch, I’m going to try and write. ✨✨✨Here’s to my April challenge to find body, mind & spirit peace 💆🏽‍♀️🍃🌚 #mentalhealthsupport #howyouglow #selfloveisthebestlove #perfectlyimperfect

It feels like lately I’ve been living my life based on fear; fear of getting it wrong, fear of feeling things too deeply, fear of being a disappointment, fear of not doing life right. And to make it worse, I’ve been afraid of opening up to most of my friends about what’s going on. Afraid they wouldn’t understand, afraid they’d think I was overreacting or worse, complaining...afraid they’d think I was weak, just afraid of being vulnerable with them. This has caused me to be in a very anxious and confusing place, alone, which is really hard for me to admit and talk about. This past weekend I was reminded of how healing good friends can be and how much more enjoyable life is when I live it authentically, honestly, full of love and kindness and most of all, •OPEN•. Open to life and people and fate. In one week, one of my oldest and bestest friends is getting MARRIED! I can’t believe we’ve been everywhere between middle school and (attempting) to adult...from band practice to all nighters studying, 14 years of birthdays, laughter, accomplishments, sleepovers, first jobs, first apartments, first kisses, first day at college, first real adulting jobs...and now!
